The short version
This is a personal site. Everything written here is one person's opinion based on their own experience at a particular point in time. Nothing on this site is a statement of fact, a recommendation tailored to your situation, or professional advice of any kind. Read it, take what is useful, and verify anything that matters before you act on it.
Opinions, not facts
- It's all opinion. Reviews, ratings, recommendations, hot takes, and offhand remarks — about software, hardware, services, companies, techniques, or trends — reflect personal taste and personal experience. They are not benchmarks, audits, or industry consensus.
- Things change. Software gets rewritten. Companies pivot. Hardware gets discontinued. A post that was accurate when it was written may be wrong a month later. Dates on pages exist for a reason — check them.
- Best effort, not perfection. Content is written carefully but without a fact-checking team. Mistakes will happen. If you spot one, please say so.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice. That includes — but is not limited to:
- Technical advice.Self-hosting guides, architectural takes, security commentary, and configuration notes are written for the author's own setup. Your environment, threat model, and constraints are different. Test in your own environment before relying on anything here in production.
- Legal, financial, or medical advice. None is given, none is implied, and nothing here should be treated as such. If you need that, talk to a licensed professional.
- Career or business advice. Anecdotes are not playbooks. What worked for one person in one context may not work for you.
Code, projects, and playgrounds
- As-is, no warranty. All projects, playgrounds, and example code on this site are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- Experimental by default. Playgrounds are toys. They may hit the GPU hard, crash on older devices, flash bright colors, or behave unpredictably. Use sensibly.
- No liability. The author is not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from use of this site, its code, or anything linked from it.
External links and third parties
- Links are pointers, not endorsements. External links go to sites the author finds relevant. The author does not control those sites, has not audited them, and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, policies, or availability.
- Mentions are not partnerships. Naming a tool, service, or company on this site does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction unless explicitly stated.
Trademarks and attribution
Product names, logos, and brands referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners. Use of these names is for identification and editorial purposes only and does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, the trademark holders.
